self-custody staking · june 7, 2026

your stake, your keys.

c0mpute staking is now fully on-chain and self-custody. your $ZERO lives in a vault only you can open. here is what changed, and why it matters.

staking on c0mpute used to be custodial. you sent your $ZERO, we held it, we paid out rewards. it worked. but it meant you had to trust our server, and our keys. for a project whose whole point is that you should not have to trust anyone, that was the wrong design.

so we rebuilt it. staking and rewards are now real on-chain Solana programs, and your funds never touch a server again.

how it works now

when you stake, your $ZERO goes into an on-chain vault that belongs to you. only a transaction signed by your wallet can move it. rewards work the same way: your USDC lands in your own reward vault, and you claim it to your wallet whenever you want, signing it yourself.

there is no middleman holding the bag. the program is the bag, and only your signature opens it.

no admin key

this is the part that actually matters. the staking program has no function that can pause, freeze, redirect, or withdraw your funds. not for us. not for a hacker who steals our keys. not for anyone. the money only ever moves when you stake, unstake, or claim.

"nobody can shut off payouts in one click" stopped being a promise and became a property of the code. you do not have to take our word for it. the programs are live on mainnet and anyone can read them:

already staking? one click.

if you staked under the old system, open the staking page and you will see a "migrate to self-custody" button. one click moves your stake and your pending rewards straight into your own vault. nothing to unstake and restake, and your 24h earning clock carries over so you do not lose a day.

the honest part

the AI inference itself still runs off-chain. it has to: you cannot run a GPU on a blockchain, and no serious decentralized-AI network pretends otherwise. what we made trustless is the money layer: your stake, your rewards, your payouts. that is the part that should never depend on trusting us, and now it does not.
